Our story

Korai Studio started in Jaipur, with two people and one stubborn idea: Indian wear should not have to wait for a wedding to be worn.

Where the idea came from

Everything we loved about Indian clothes, the cuts, the prints, the hand finishing, seemed to be kept for special occasions. Everyday wardrobes were full of pieces that were easy but forgettable. We wanted the other thing: a kurti you can wear to a café brunch and still feel like yourself.

Who is behind it

Korai is designed by someone who actually wears what she makes. Every print, tassel and tie-up is chosen because we would reach for it on a normal Tuesday. It is a small team, and the people who design a piece are the same people who answer your messages.

How we build it

We work in small batches, in breathable 100% cotton, with detailing finished by hand. Traditional cuts get new silhouettes so nothing feels dated. If a standard size is not quite right, choose Custom and we will stitch it to your measurements.
